1. Information We Collect

When you install and use MeshClip, we collect the following information:

• Your Shopify store domain and access token (required to access your store's products)
• Product information including titles, prices, and product images from your store
• Store information including store name and currency
• Usage data including number of image ads generated and your current plan
• Image ads generated through our platform (temporarily stored for download)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the MeshClip service:

• To authenticate your Shopify store and display your products
• To generate professional image ads using your product photos
• To track your usage against your plan limits
• To process AI-generated ad copy using your product information
• To manage your subscription and billing through Shopify

3. Third-Party Services

MeshClip uses the following third-party services to deliver its functionality:

• Remove.bg — used to remove backgrounds from your product images. Product images are sent to Remove.bg's API and are subject to their privacy policy at remove.bg/privacy
• Groq AI — used to generate ad copy from your product information. Product titles and prices are sent to Groq's API and are subject to their privacy policy
• Shopify — all billing and payments are processed by Shopify and are subject to Shopify's privacy policy
• Render — our backend infrastructure provider where your session data is securely stored

4. Data Storage & Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

• Your Shopify access token is stored securely in an encrypted PostgreSQL database
• Generated image ads are stored temporarily on our servers and automatically deleted after download
• We do not store your product images permanently — they are fetched on demand and processed in memory
• All data transmission between MeshClip and Shopify is encrypted using HTTPS/SSL

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share data with the third-party services listed above as necessary to provide the MeshClip service.

6. Data Retention

We retain your store session and usage data for as long as MeshClip is installed on your Shopify store. When you uninstall MeshClip:

• Your store session and access token are deleted from our database within 30 days
• Any temporarily stored generated images are immediately deleted
• Usage history records are deleted within 30 days

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about your store
• Request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us
• Uninstall MeshClip from your Shopify store at any time to stop all data processing
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

8. Cookies

MeshClip uses minimal browser storage (localStorage) solely to remember your Shopify store domain between sessions. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

MeshClip is a business tool intended for Shopify merchants. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of MeshClip after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes relating to this policy shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
